Part of our excitement comes from the high THC percentage we were able to achieve. Both Pineapple Express and Super Lemon OG(or SLOG), have been available at Everest for a while, but until now we have never offered at 30% THC.
So what’s so good about high THC percentages?
Before answering the question, let us first talk about what determines the strength of a cannabis strain. Different strains have different THC and CBD levels. THC is the compound found in the marijuana bud responsible for the highness when you take a puff. It will stimulate your brain and bring in euphoria, among other effects.
When it comes to the question of why we aim to grow higher THC percentages, we would say it is because it assists our goals to grow better cannabis for the state of New Mexico. The highest THC strain depends on many growth factors. Every cultivator wants to grow the most aromatic and flavorful plants that they can. Naturally, growers want to optimize their plants to reach their maximum genetic potential, boosting terpene production of each unique strain so its aromas, flavors and medicinal properties can shine. We take this very seriously at Everest and our “Living Soil” cultivation facilities, and carefully thought out beneficials, ensure that we are able to learn from each strain as we grow more and more and improve our cultivation processes. Pineapple Express
Pineapple Express Strain is a sativa-dominant hybrid with the aroma of fresh apple and mango and a taste of pineapple, pine, and cedar. It may produce long-lasting effects that could offer an energetic buzz and may induce productive creativity. It’s currently being offered at all Everest stores at 30% THC.
Super Lemon OG(SLOG)
Super Lemon OG is a 60/40 indica-dominant hybrid of Super Lemon Haze and Captain Krypt OG. Super Lemon OG produces relaxing body effects that are balanced by the uplifting and energetic influence of Haze genetics. Its taste and aroma carry a strong citrus note that is entangled with tones of spicy pepper and pungent diesel fuel. Its complex terpene profile and heavy resin production make Super Lemon OG an excellent choice for producing other products such as edibles, cartridges and topicals.
