About the NM Cannabis Program:

In 2007, New Mexico legislators adopted a medical cannabis program for the state through the Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act.

The purpose of the Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act is to allow the beneficial use of medical cannabis in a regulated system for alleviating symptoms caused by debilitating medical conditions.

Joining the NM Cannabis Program:

Everest will only serve legally qualified patients and caregivers. Under no circumstances whatsoever are services provided to persons who are not qualified under New Mexico law. You must become a registered patient to obtain medicine.

Below are the conditions in New Mexico that may qualify a patient for a medical cannabis card. Please talk to your medical practitioner about whether medical cannabis is an appropriate treatment for you.

Qualifying Conditions:

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Cancer
  • Cervical Dystonia
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • Hepatitis C Infection currently receiving antiviral treatment (proof of current anti‐viral treatment required)
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Hospice Care
  • Huntington’s Disease
  • Inclusion Body Myositis
  • Inflammatory Autoimmune‐Mediated Arthritis
  • Intractable Nausea/Vomiting
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Painful Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Post‐Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Severe Chronic Pain
  • Severe Anorexia/Cachexia
  • Spasmodic Torticollis (Cervical Dystonia)
  • Spinal Cord Damage with Intractable Spasticity
  • Ulcerative Colitis

Items Needed to Shop at Everest:

  • Valid New Mexico Medical Cannabis Card. Must be the original card (not a copy). Please be ready to submit your MCP card at each visit.
  • Valid New Mexico Driver’s License or other valid forms of state-issued identification. Must be the original card (not a copy). Please be ready to submit your MCP card at each visit.
  • New patients will need to fill out and sign our Application Form in person during their first visit.
