Establishes New Partnership with Asian Business Collaborative

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Everest Apothecary and the Asian Business Collaborative have pooled their resources to expand the ABC’s personal protective equipment distribution from Feb.18 to March 18 to prepare Albuquerque businesses for reopening.

Within the next month, the partnership is expected to ship 300 boxes of PPE containing masks, face shields, gloves and more to affected workers and businesses.

Everest Apothecary will use its delivery fleet, typically used to distribute medical marijuana to patients, to begin distribution to other local businesses that are in need of additional resources.

Eclipsing the 1,500th delivery milestone of medical cannabis since its fleet first launched at the start of the pandemic in April 2020, Everest Apothecary agreed to partner with ABC because of its unique position as a local, COVID-safe delivery hub.

“We’re more than just a cannabis company, we’re a member of a community,” said Everest Apothecary Marketing Director Jefferson King. “When communities come together with a common goal, we grow stronger. Thanks to this partnership with the Asian Business Collaborative, our delivery team has a great opportunity to help stop the spread of COVID-19. It’s such a milestone for Albuquerque to be in the yellow and we want it to stay that way.”

Just as Bernalillo County turned “yellow” allowing many of their businesses to expand operations, the Asian Business Collaborative was able to secure funding for another round of PPE delivery from the City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Office in the Economic Development Department.
