Everest Apothecary has just celebrated the completion of 1,000 medical cannabis deliveries to the greater Albuquerque, NM area. This milestone comes in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, which has hindered the in-person dispensary shopping experience due to state-mandated stay-at-home orders, travel bans, and social distancing practices.
Everest offers the only 100% online cannabis delivery ordering system in the state of New Mexico, which gives medical patients the opportunity to minimize their risk of exposure to COVID-19 by allowing them to order from home.
To date, there have been a total of 170,296 cases of COVD-19 in the state of New Mexico. Medical cannabis patients are considered to be a medically vulnerable population—and therefore at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19—due to some patients being immunocompromised and many others having qualifying conditions that are exacerbated by the effects of the pandemic, such as anxiety, depression, stress and chronic pain.
With the help of Everest’s home delivery option, many more patients have the ability to secure the medicine they need, without needing to worry about shopping in-store. Before, during and after the delivery process, employees follow all COVID-19 safety protocols, including proper handwashing and the wearing of masks and gloves at all times.
Additionally, patients may choose their own delivery window to know exactly when their purchase will be delivered, and Everest’s fleet of delivery vehicles are unmarked, making delivery transactions discreet.

Last December, Everest also launched its first-ever delivery “stamp card”, which uses special deals to encourage patients to continue utilizing the delivery service, rather than returning to shop in person. With their first delivery order (and their first stamp), patients receive 10% off their entire delivery order. With their 3rd stamp, patients are eligible to receive a free delivery on their next delivery order (the normal delivery fee is waived).
Currently, Everest’s delivery service is only available to legally-registered, New Mexican medical cannabis patients living in select zip codes in Greater Albuquerque, northwest Albuquerque/Rio Rancho and Greater Las Cruces. This service is not available to out-of-state reciprocal patients.
